Newsletter - June 2023
Dear Friends,
World Environment Day 2023 was a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters. The steps governments and businesses are taking to tackle plastic pollution are not adequate. It is time to accelerate this action and transition to a circular economy.
The Green Rameswaram Trust is working on a “Detailed project report on Plastic Pollution in the Gulf of Mannar region” through our associates Hand in Hand Inclusive Development Services, Chennai. The project started in the month of January and during the survey we found 85 hotspots in Thookuthukudi and Ramanathapuram district. The situation is really frightening. The entire marine life is in danger, and plastic is already coming to our plate through the fish we eat. We will come out with a detailed report in the coming months along with the possible solutions.

Debits and Credits - The Language of Accountants
Bala Sir welcomed Vaishali and her team with a broad smile on his face. He said, “Today, we are going to discuss a very important topic - The Language of Accountants. All of you have seen the importance of keeping correct record of all transactions, very carefully for running a business. A real business runs into hundreds of thousands of transactions almost daily. Therefore, the accountants have devised a fool proof system, to ensure that the transactions are recorded faithfully.
