Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
The success of our Green Rameswaram project is fueled by the united efforts of several organisations dedicated to sustainability. Our collaborators comprise passionate environmental advocates, proactive social welfare groups, and community leaders, all pooling their expertise to make Rameswaram a clean and green community.
Together, our allies champion initiatives in renewable energy, waste management, water conservation and community health. This teamwork harnesses the diverse expertise to make Rameswaram ecologically rich and abundantly resourceful for its residents.

BrahMos
BrahMos
BrahMos’ contribution to Green Rameswaram has been instrumental in commissioning solar power systems to promote sustainable energy usage in Dhanushkodi’s rural communities. The highlights include:
- Installation of two 2 kWh Solar PV systems, with a total capacity of 4 kWh.
- Location: Latitude 8° 38′ 15.49″ N, Longitude 77° 41′ 32.15″ E, with a tilt angle of 13° south-facing for maximum solar yield.
- Installation of 16 polycrystalline solar PV modules, each rated at 235 Wp.
- 8-foot high elevated module mounting structures, designed to withstand wind speeds up to 200 km/hr.
- 12-hour load capacity during non-solar hours, powered by a 4-battery bank with 24 V – 500 AH capacity.
BrahMos’ other installations include:
- 100 LED lamps (4 W) for the villagers.
- 6 solar street lights in common areas.
- A 32” LED TV in the local government school for smart classes.
