Picking Litter Campaign was organized at Railway Stationon 02.10.2017 on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Hi Seva Concluding day. 50 members consists of Railway Staff, Volunteers from Daiwak hotel and Kamban Kazhagam participated in this programme.

Revival and Renovation of Water Bodies RamarTeertham
This month, we are giving the photo gallery of the “RamarTeertham” which we renovated in the year 2015. The Teertham is located on the main road. Maximum number of visitors are visiting Ramarteertham which received a face lift after a long long gap.The mud excavated, all the four sides of the water body strengthened, repaired the central mandapam and given a traditional colour coating of white and red strips. In addition, the neglected inlet was renovated and filled with proper filter mechanism.A new entrance with innovative spiral arch greets the pilgrims visiting the holy water body.
Livelihood Opportunities
Fish Amino Acid is useful in agriculture as a growth promoter and can be prepared easily by farmers by using waste fish, jiggery and papaya latex. It is useful as a spray for everything including green vegetables, grains, horticulture etc. Vivekananda Kendra – Nardep have developed the technique of preparing fish amino acid. In this month, Rameswaram people were benefited by undergoing training.

A Gender Training Programme was organized by Tourism Department in collaboration with Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Institute, Chennai and Green Rameswaram project. Around 25 Participants attended the programme from October 28, 2017 to November 1, 2017.
