Honourable Member of Legislative assembly, Ramanathapuram constituency Mr.Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam  visited Rameswaram City to oversee  precautionary activities  to control the 2nd Wave of COVID-19 Pandemic.He gave suggestions to manage this pandemic situation more effectively.

Sanitation Kit Distribution:

Hand in Hand Inclusive Development and Services commemorated labour day on May 1, 2021.  On the occasion, sanitation kits constituting 3masks, 5 gloves, 100ml sanitiser bottle along with a pair of uniform distributed to Green Friends of Rameswaram Project.

Distribution and Habitat

Murraya koenigii (L.) belongs to the family Rutaceae and is commonly known as Curry leaf, more or less deciduous shrub or small trees found throughout India up to an altitude of 1500m and are cultivated for its aromatic leaves. M. koenigii originates from east and south part of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China and Hainan but widely cultivated in South-East Asia and some parts of the United States and Australia.

Vivekananda Kendra -Nardep

Green Rameswaram took part in the project – “Developing a Community Yoga Protocol for Elderly to Promote Innate Immunity”. The project is executed by Vivekananda Kendra – Nardep, Kanyakumari and supported by DST – Kiran Division, Govt. of India, New Delhi. May 20, 2021 we have started our programme for the 18 Elderly people who are attending online classes regularly.

The project has 3 categories of elders’ namely (i) independent (ii) dependent and (iii) despondent. Separate protocols have been framed for each group. The programme is for two and half month’s duration.

Combating Covid 19 2nd Wave

Green Rameswaram during the Covid 19 Lock down of Tamilnadu from May 14, 2021 to till date was engaged in Kapasura Kudineer Distribution. There were two bands of Volunteers and staff members engaged in this activity. Shri.Muthuramalingam, E-Rickshaw SHG President engaged himself in this activity in the early morning and Pasumai Associates team of Sister Balaki and Sister Pavithra engaged themselves in the Kapasura Kudineer Distribution from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
