Dear Friends, welcome back to the study of Financial Accounting. Please recall that we used a fictitious case study for an intuitive understanding of the three fundamental accounting statements. Next we undertook a more detailed understanding of the principles behind them, so that we may be able to apply them in our different circumstances.
Solid Waste Management
Source Segregation Demo Programme
Everyday door-to-door waste collection and source segregation along with street cleaning were carried out uninterruptedly.
Four Source Segregation Demonstration programmes were organized on 1st, 6th, 15th and 20th of April at Lakshmana Theertham (Ward No: 9), Verapathira Samikili (Ward No: 7), Ambekar Nagar (Ward No: 16) and Athikkadu (Ward No: 1).
Herbal Garden (Muligai Vanam) Nayuruvi
Distribution and Habitatat:
Achyranthes aspera is an erect or prostrate, annual or perennial herb, often with a woody base, of the family Amaranthaceae. It is widespread as a weed in Baluchistan, Sri Lanka, Tropical Asia, Africa, Australia and America. In India, it is easily found along roadsides or on the edges of field and waste lands.
“Livelihood Opportunities”
On April 11, 2023 micro skilpreneurship training programme evaluation was conducted by EDII at Bangalore. Shri.Sridhar attended the programme and shared the progress in the form of a movie as well as a presentation.
“Maintenance of Renovated Traditional Water Bodies” Ramar Teertham
In this month, we carried out the maintenance of the Traditional Water body – Ramar Teertham.

In this month, we conducted a record number of Teertha poojas at 20 places and 267 stakeholders participated. Hope, this trend will continue and finally the community will take the ownership of the Teerthas.
