A Rare book – Dhevaiula on Ramanathaswami

This classical work on Sri Ramanatha Swami of Rameswaram was composed by “Palapattadai Chokkanatha Pillai”. This work was discovered by Dr.U.Ve.Saminatha Iyer after comparing multiple versions. He also wrote a commentary on this rare text.

With the blessings of Lord Ramanatha Swami, Mother Parvathavardhini & Lord Rama, here is an attempt to provide a reasonable translation of this work, in English. Any error can be ascribed to me.

Distribution and Habitat

Boerhaaviadiffusa is an herbaceous plant of the family Nyctaginaceae. This plant grows vigorously as a weed in different terrestrial habitats such as grasslands, wastelands, agricultural fields, residential compounds, ditches and marshy places. in tropical and subtropical regions such as India, Brazil, Africa, Australia, China, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Iran and several countries of Middle East. It is a perennial creeping, prostrate or ascending herb, up to 1 m long or more, with spreading branches.

E-Autos reached out to 11,186 pilgrims. Out of which, we have provided free services to Senior citizens 79 nos., children 175 nos. and differently-abled 15 nos.

One of the pilgrim got Paralytic attack near the Temple’s south tower. Our E-Rickshaw Driver Shri.Subramani admitted the pilgrim to the temple hospital immediately. Now the patient is recovering. Pilgrims form Nagercoil thanked our E-Rickshaw driver for their quick services
