Debits and Credits - The Language of Accountants
Bala Sir welcomed Vaishali and her team with a broad smile on his face. He said, “Today, we are going to discuss a very important topic – The Language of Accountants. All of you have seen the importance of keeping correct record of all transactions, very carefully for running a business. A real business runs into hundreds of thousands of transactions almost daily. Therefore, the accountants have devised a fool proof system, to ensure that the transactions are recorded faithfully.
Solid Waste Management
Source Segregation Demo Programme
Everyday door-to-door waste collection and source segregation along with street cleaning were carried out uninterruptedly. Two Source Segregation Demonstration programmes were organized on 9th and 25th at Nethaji Nagar Ward-18 and South car Street-Ward-15 respectively. Around 11 residents got benefited through these Progarammes. Our staff and Green Friends conducted awareness to households in each ward on the types of waste, segregation of waste and the importance and benefits of recycling. A live demonstration on source segregation was organized for the public.

Distribution and Habitat
Asparagus racemosus is a widely occurring medicinal plant belonging to the family Asparagaceae. This species is found abundantly in subtropical and tropical regions of India, Asia, Australia and Africa. It is also found up to an altitude of 1500 m in the subtropical Himalayas.
“Revival and Renovation of Traditional Water Bodies” Bhairava Teertham
Bhairava Teertham, located in the Pamban area of Rameswaram, holds significance and is considered sacred by devotees for various reasons. Bhairava is a sea based Teertham and is located just opposite to Kala Bhairava Temple. Vivekananda Kendra – Nardep decided to have a good platform near the sea side so that people can perform rituals comfortably.

Teertha Pooja
Local stakeholders have started taking interest in maintenance of Traditional Water bodies – Teerthas as well as doing monthly pooja at site. Our Teertha Mitras, E-Rickshaw drivers, Yoga participants, SHG members and general public is getting involved and the effect is seen by having Teertha pooja at 31 places with 314 attendance.
