Bala Sir welcomed the SHG members, and said, “We shall discuss the journal entries for each of the remaining transactions of APS for the month of October. We follow the standard practice of making the journal entries along with making appropriate entries in the corresponding T-Accounts.

Six Source Segregation Demonstration programmes were organized on 4th, 6th, 11th, 16th, 21st and 27th of October 2023 in Ward 02-Kattupillayar Kovil Street, Maravar street, Ward 08 –Tambiyaan Kollai, Ward 13-Varthagan Street, Ward 16-Attamal Street and Ward 18 – Rajagopal Nagar during the month of October 2023.

Sennatora (L.) Roxb. Is a stout, erect, smooth semi woody annual herb one-two meter in height of the Caesalpiniaceae family. It is mostly found in South East Asia and the South West Pacific as an important weed.

On October 22, 2023, an impressive initiative was taken by the defence personnel to broadcast seed balls in about 6 – 8 sq.km area in the forest where Jata Teertham is located. 2 lakhs seed balls were distributed to 165 volunteers coming from the entire cross section such as students, military personnel, government officials, and Green Rameswaram volunteers.

In this month, we made further progress in the Revival and Renovation of Simha Teertham which can be seen through this photo gallery.

Our work of involving community in doing Teertha poojas is going on smoothly. SHG members, E-auto drivers and Yoga participants are trying to take the ownership of the programme. In this month, we could carry out Teertha poojas at 31 Traditional water bodies with 244 volunteers participating in the activity. The details are given below.
